Within every city there is usually a spot for the hip hop scene to gather, network, and showcase their skills. Windsor is no different. Club Extreme was Windsor’s hip hop shop in the early 2000′s but after it’s doors closed for the last time the scene has had a hard time finding a spot to call home. That was up until last year, when a local music enthusiast named Rissa Guyton locked down a spot that has become the local hub for hip hop in Windsor. The Coach and Horses plays host to the Windsor Hip Hop Spotlight series, that is already about 7 shows deep. Kayyce Closed host’s these event’s every month and also rocks the microphone. As one of the cornerstones to this hip hop scene, Kayyce is always found in the mix at local event’s and is never hard to find. Alongside Kayyce Closed you can always expect to catch some live local act’s kicking their tracks, and members of the scene all gather to enjoy the events. A great place to network & showcase your skills. When time is on their side they also open the microphone up at the end of the night to anybody who wants to flow. The next spotlight is set to be a great showcase featuring Kayyce Closed, Ritt Theme, J Smith & More. It goes down February 25th at 10pm at the Coach n’ Horses. Don’t miss it!
